Use real photographs of materials, hands, tools, or the making process alongside a warm base palette and slightly irregular illustration details. Keep labels and buttons clean enough to read at a glance, with 2 or 3 tactile details per page rather than decoration everywhere. Do not fake handmade character with unreadable script type or stock workshop scenes.
