Prompt pattern
Fade between pages instead of cutting
Moving from one page to the next is a short crossfade, not a hard jump.
Fills the motion part of a prompt.
When the visitor moves between pages, crossfade the content over about 200ms rather than cutting to the new page. Keep the header and navigation fixed so only the body changes. Never delay the first paint waiting for the animation, and skip it entirely under reduced motion.
Use this motion pattern when it changes the result the agent should produce. It provides one concrete direction without deciding unrelated parts of the website.
